Architecture

๐ In short
Architecture is the art of designing and constructing buildings. An architect draws houses, schools, mosques and bridges before they're built, thinking about how to make them beautiful, comfortable and safe at the same time.

๐ What does an architect do?
An architect first asks: who will use the building? How many rooms does it need? Then they draw the plans, choose the right materials and make sure the building is strong and won't fall down.
๐ Every civilization has its style
Every people has its own way of building: Egyptian pyramids, Greek columns, the domes, minarets and arches of Islamic architecture, and the tall pointed churches of Europe.
๐ก Architecture and climate
People build homes to suit the weather: in very hot countries, thick walls, small windows and wind towers that cool the house, and in rainy countries, sloping roofs so the rain runs off.
๐ฏ Famous buildings
Some of the most beautiful buildings in the world are the Taj Mahal in India, the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem, and the tall skyscrapers of modern cities.
