π Melody and rhythm
Music has two important parts: melody, the line of notes you can hum, and rhythm, the steady beats that make you clap or tap your foot.
π Instrument families
Musical instruments are sorted into families: strings like the oud and violin, wind instruments like the ney and trumpet, percussion like the drum and daf, and keyboards like the piano.
π‘ How do we write music?
Musicians write tunes with special signs called musical notes, placed on five lines, so any musician in the world can read and play them.
