🌟 The Arabian horse

The Arabian horse is one of the most beautiful and oldest breeds, with a small head, big eyes and a raised tail. It's patient and strong, and can handle long journeys in the desert.

πŸ” The little foal

The male is called a stallion, the female a mare, and the baby a foal. A foal stands up and walks just an hour or two after it's born!

πŸ’‘ It sleeps standing up

A horse can sleep standing up, because the joints in its legs lock by themselves so it doesn't fall. But it also lies down for a short, deep sleep.

🎯 How do we look after it?

A horse needs grass, hay, barley and lots of clean water, and its coat and hooves need cleaning. People fit iron shoes under its hooves to protect them.
