π Old toys
Scientists found dolls, balls and wooden toys thousands of years old in ancient Egypt. And children in the Arabian Peninsula made dolls from straw and scraps of cloth.
π Playing and learning
Playing isn't just fun: blocks teach building and balance, puzzles strengthen thinking, dolls teach caring, and group games teach cooperation and taking turns.
π‘ Make your own toy
You can make great toys yourself: a car from a cardboard box, a puppet from an old sock, a drum from a tin and a balloon, or a phone from two cups and a string.
π― Play safely
Choose toys that suit your age, don't put small pieces in your mouth, keep your small toys away from baby brothers and sisters, and tidy your toys after playing.
