Buses

π In short
A bus is a big vehicle that carries lots of passengers together on streets and roads. People ride it to school, work and the market, and travel between cities on it. It saves fuel and cuts traffic, because it carries many passengers in one vehicle.

π Kinds of buses
There are small buses carrying a few passengers, big buses carrying dozens, double-decker buses like London's red ones, and long buses in two joined parts that bend around corners.
π The school bus
In many countries the school bus is yellow so drivers can see it easily. When it stops to let children on, cars must stop too.
π‘ Electric buses
Some buses run on electricity, either from wires above the street or from big batteries. They're quiet and give off no smoke.
π― Bus manners
Wait for the bus on the pavement, get on calmly, sit down or hold the handle tight, give your seat to an older person, and don't put your hand out of the window.
