The story of Abraham (Ibrahim)

Abraham, peace be upon him, is the close friend of the Most Merciful and the father of the prophets. His people worshipped idols that could neither hear nor help, so he called them to worship God alone with reason and wisdom. They threw him into a fire, but God saved him, and later he built the Kaaba with his son Ishmael.

- Abraham, peace be upon him, is called โthe close friend of the Most Mercifulโ.
- The Qur'an has a surah named after Abraham, peace be upon him: surah number 14.
- Many prophets came from Abraham's descendants: Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, and the last of them, Muhammad ๏ทบ.
- In every prayer, in the tashahhud, we send blessings on Abraham: โas You blessed Abraham and the family of Abrahamโ.

๐ Searching for the truth
Abraham looked at a star, the moon and the sun, and saw them all set and disappear, so he knew they were created things, and that the Creator is God, who never disappears.
๐ The broken idols
When his people went out to their festival, Abraham broke their idols, all except the biggest one. When they questioned him he said: โAsk it, if it can speak!โ Deep down they knew the idols were useless.
๐ก The cool fire
His people grew angry, lit a huge fire and threw Abraham into it. God said to the fire: ยซูููู ุจุฑุฏูุง ูุณูุงู ูุง ุนูู ุฅุจุฑุงููู ยป, and he came out safe and unharmed.
๐ฏ Building the Kaaba
Abraham went to Makkah, where his son Ishmael lived, and together they built the Kaaba, praying: โOur Lord, accept this from us; You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.โ
