About “Division: share equally”
Dividing means sharing equally. The child taps each child's plate to give them a sweet, or hands out a whole round at once, until everyone has the same number. Then they check and see the sum written out: 12 ÷ 3 = 4.
On the second level some sweets are left that aren't enough for another round: that's the remainder. This is how children understand “division with a remainder” before learning long division.
