About “Loops in coding”
Loops are one of the most important ideas in coding: instead of writing “red bead, blue bead” ten times, we write “repeat 5 times: red, blue”. This activity trains children to spot the repeating pattern.
In the first mode the child chooses between several programs; in the second they build the program themselves, picking the beads of the repeated part and how many times, then run it and watch the necklace being made bead by bead.
