The rose is one of the most beautiful flowers in the world, a symbol of beauty, love and lovely scent. Roses come in many colors: red, pink, white, yellow and orange. People grow them in gardens and give them to those they love.

- Natural blue roses are extremely rare.
- Some rose bushes grow up to 1.8 meters tall and are used as hedges.

๐ Watch out for thorns
Rose stems have sharp thorns that protect them from animals that want to eat them. So we pick roses carefully, holding the stem away from the thorns.
๐ Rose water
Rose petals are made into fragrant rose water, which goes into Arab sweets like muhallabia and knafeh. Precious rose oil for perfumes is made from them too.
๐ก The Damask rose
One of the most famous roses is the Damask rose, pink and strongly scented, grown in Syria, Morocco, Turkey and Bulgaria, and made into the finest perfumes.

The rose family is huge! It includes fruit trees we love, like apples, pears, apricots, peaches and strawberries.
