๐ Parts we eat
We eat the leaves of lettuce, spinach and cabbage, the roots of carrots, radishes and beetroot, celery stalks, the seeds of peas and broad beans, the flowers of cauliflower and broccoli, and potato tubers.
๐ A rainbow on your plate
Try to eat vegetables in lots of colors: green, red, orange, yellow and purple. Each color has different vitamins and useful substances.
๐ก Why are they important?
Vegetables are full of vitamins and minerals that protect you from illness, and fiber that helps your stomach and intestines work well.
๐ฏ From field to table
Farmers grow vegetables, look after them and water them, then harvest, pack and send them to market. That's why we shouldn't throw food away.
