About β3D shapesβ
3D shapes have length, width and height, and we see them every day: a dice is a cube, a tin can is a cylinder, a ball is a sphere. The child meets seven drawn shapes, with hidden edges shown as dashed lines.
In the counting exercise the child counts the faces, edges and vertices of shapes with flat faces, like the pyramid: 5 faces, 8 edges and 5 vertices.
