About “Angles”
A right angle is 90°, like the corner of a sheet of paper. Smaller ones are acute, bigger ones obtuse, and a straight angle is 180°. The angles are tilted differently each time so the child understands the idea rather than memorizing a picture.
In the estimating exercise the child picks the closest size from four answers spread far apart, getting used to comparing an angle with a right angle and half of one before using a protractor.
