📖 In short

- Each pin's center is about 30 centimeters from the next.
- The highest score in a full game of bowling is 300.
- Bowling is popular in America, Canada and Japan.

🌟 The perfect throw
If a player knocks down all ten pins with the first ball, it's called a “strike”, the best throw. If they knock them all down with two balls, it's a “spare”.
🔍 The heavy ball
A bowling ball has three holes, for the thumb and the two middle fingers. Each player chooses a ball that suits their weight and hand size, and children use light balls.
💡 An old toy
People have played games like bowling for thousands of years: a ball and pieces like bowling pins were found in the tomb of an ancient Egyptian child!
🎯 Bumpers for little ones
Bowling halls put bumpers along both sides of the lane for young children so the ball doesn't fall into the gutter, and they have more fun.
