๐ŸŒŸ It grows on the ground

Pineapples don't grow on trees! They grow on a low plant with long spiky leaves, and one fruit grows from the middle on a short stalk.

๐Ÿ” Many fruits in one

A pineapple is really lots of little fruits that grew from many flowers and stuck together: every six-sided shape on its skin was a flower!

๐Ÿ’ก Plant your crown

Cut the green crown off the top of a pineapple, let it dry a little, then put it in water until roots grow, and plant it in a pot. It might give you a pineapple after two years!

๐ŸŽฏ It softens meat

Fresh pineapple has a substance that breaks down protein, so some cooks use it to soften meat. It's also what makes your tongue tingle if you eat a lot.
