Honesty means always telling the truth, even when it's hard. God loves the honest person and people trust them, while lying destroys trust and brings trouble. That's why honesty is one of the most beautiful qualities of a Muslim.

- The Prophet ๏ทบ was called โthe Truthful, the Trustworthyโ long before his mission began at the age of 40.
- God says in Surat at-Tawbah: ยซููุง ุฃููููููุง ุงูููุฐูููู ุขู ููููุง ุงุชูููููุง ุงูููููู ููููููููุง ู ูุนู ุงูุตููุงุฏููููููยป
- The word โas-Siddiqโ means โthe very truthfulโ, and it is the title of Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him.
- A little lie usually needs more lies to hide it, but the truth needs nothing.

๐ Honest words
When we're asked about something, we say what really happened, adding nothing and leaving nothing out. And if we don't know the answer, we say: โI don't knowโ, and that's honest too.
๐ The courage to tell the truth
If we break something or make a mistake, we admit it and say sorry. We might be a little scared, but grown-ups are glad of an honest child and help them put it right.
๐ก Honest even when joking
Even when playing and laughing, we don't lie. The Prophet ๏ทบ joked with his companions, but only ever said what was true.
๐ฏ Keeping promises
When we promise, we keep our word, and when we say โI'll do itโ, we do it. Keeping promises is honesty in actions, and breaking them isn't how a believer behaves.
