Trustworthiness

๐Ÿ“– In short

Being trustworthy means looking after what we're given and returning it to its owner, and doing what's asked of us properly. A trustworthy Muslim doesn't take what isn't theirs, doesn't give away secrets, and doesn't cheat in tests.

๐ŸŒŸ Things in our care

A book we borrow from a friend is in our trust: we look after it and give it back clean and on time. And if we find something lost, we don't keep it, but give it to a grown-up to return to its owner.

๐Ÿ” A secret is a trust

If a friend tells us a secret, we don't tell anyone else. But if the secret is something that hurts or frightens them, we tell our parents or teacher so they can help.

๐Ÿ’ก Our work is a trust

Our homework is a trust, so we do it ourselves and don't cheat. Our bodies and our time are a trust too, so we look after them and don't waste them.

๐ŸŽฏ The Prophet's ๏ทบ trustworthiness

When the Prophet ๏ทบ migrated to Madinah, he was still keeping valuables for the people of Makkah, even though they were harming him. So he left Ali, may God be pleased with him, behind to return them one by one.
